Rising star Emerald-Angel Young was born on March 8, 1999 in Long Island, New York. At the tender age of two, speaking in complete sentences, Emerald-Angel told her mom that she wanted to play a doctor on television. Emerald-Angel would play dress-up while repeating lines from the television show for fun. Emerald-Angel loved to entertain others with her singing and dancing. Embracing the undeniable talent they saw in their daughter as well as recognizing the passion she had for entertaining, Emerald-Angel's parents made the decision to dedicate themselves to helping their daughter pursue her dreams.
Emerald-Angel began taking professional dance lessons at two years old, receiving an award for Baby of The Year. She went on to receive numerous awards and trophies for her dancing. Emerald-Angel enjoyed being on stage so much that she went on to enter The National Miss America pageant in 2004, and awed the judges with her talent. She won the New York division title and was crowned Miss Princess. Emerald-Angel would go on to compete nationally in 2007 and walked away with the title again that year. She was quickly becoming America's little sweetheart.
Not only did Emerald-Angel possess the ability to sing and dance, but her beauty, charm and charisma presented opportunities for her to break into acting. By the end of 2006 Emerald-Angel booked her first commercial for Build-A-Bear Workshop. Emerald-Angel went on to appear in several commercials and also did print work for various companies including Benetton, Essence Magazine, Scholastic, and Target to name a few. In 2007, she was cast in a small role on Nickelodeon alongside The Naked Brother's Band, where she received rave reviews.
Emerald-Angel's career was beginning to take off and 2008 would prove to be a banner year. While remaining an honor roll student, as Emerald-Angel's mom always instilled in her that her education came first, she got a chance to play "Lacy" in The Return of Jezebel James and also had a recurring role as "Lullaby Girl" on the TV mini series Life on Mars. Emerald-Angel has also been cast in plays including A Midsummer Night's Dream where she played the lead role "Puck" and also played "Angel" in The Miracle of Love.
